Cruise Ship

BOYDEL provides the worlds first 300,000 to 1,000,000 litre per day combo sewage and bilgewater treatment system for cruiseships or ocean going freighters.

Our system is active with total retention time of only 8 minutes.  Tankage requirements are minimal except to handle flows during the smaller off-flow cycle.  No fuel consumption lost to transporting heavy contaminated bilgewaters to the next port for environmentally approved  discharge for offsite treatment.

The BOYDEL system, through a simple operator PLC toggle on the touch screen, can switch from treating sewage and discharging overboard compliant effluent,  to treating oily metalized bilgewater which is processed, scrubbed and the effluent discharged clean, overboard while at sea.  The module will isolate the respective contaminants from each feedstock at 1/2-1% of feedstock volumes for later removal from the vessel.

A typical schedule for a cruiseship would be for the module to be switched to WaterMinerŪ sewage operating parameters from 0500 through to 0100 the next day.  Then at 0100 the operator switches the feedstock valve to bilge water feedstock supply and toggles the module to treat as a PetroMinerŪ through to 0500.

To pilot test BOYDEL's frame mounted WaterMinerŪ /PetroMinerŪ  combo modules simply stage the modules at or near your onboard wastewater site, connect a 50mm feedstock line, 50mm effluent line, a 50 mm sludge line and connect up to an existing or portable 25 kVa 208 3ph power supply.
